GREENET, the network of National Contact Points (NCPs) for Cluster 5 “Climate, Energy and Mobility” under the Horizon Europe Programme, will organize an online workshop entitled “Potential and Emerging Value Chains in the Energy and Batteries Sectors.”

The workshop will take place on 2 July 2026, from 10:00 to 12:30 CET, via Zoom. It is designed particularly for newcomers to Horizon Europe and stakeholders from Widening countries who are interested in participating in research and innovation projects within the Energy and Batteries domains.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn about the funding opportunities available under the Horizon Europe Cluster 5 Work Programmes, as well as the support services provided by NCP networks. The event will also feature practical guidance on proposal preparation and recommendations for developing competitive project applications.

The second part of the workshop will focus on funding opportunities and project development activities related to the Energy and Batteries sectors. Beneficiaries from Widening countries will share their experiences, perspectives, and recommendations regarding potential and emerging value chains in these fields, fostering discussion on future collaboration and innovation opportunities.

In addition, the Coordinator of the SUN-TRANS project, funded under Horizon Europe, will deliver a dedicated presentation. During this session, participants will gain first-hand insights into the project's development and proposal preparation process, consortium building, project implementation, and overall management experience. The presentation will also highlight key lessons learned and practical recommendations for preparing successful Horizon Europe proposals, providing valuable guidance for organizations planning to engage in future project consortia.

This training event is open to all stakeholders interested in participating in Horizon Europe proposals within the Energy and Batteries domains, particularly those addressing potential and emerging value chains.
